Parking for our church is found in the rear of the building or on the street in front. While there are no dress requirements, you will find that many of our members prefer to dress nicely for the Divine Service. Sunday School begins at 9 am in the multipurpose room. Children go directly to their classrooms. During the summer months an inter-generational family Sunday School is held. Following Sunday School, we invite you to join us for refreshments and coffee in our parish hall. At 10 a.m. the service begins with a brief children's message, which concludes the Sunday School lesson and introduces the theme for the day in worship. We also explore a portion of the Divine Liturgy and learn how God comes to us through His divinely-instituted means. Services generally last an hour, but will often be longer--especially on festival days. At Emmanuel we enjoy receiving God's gifts and find the extra minutes worth it. Pastoral care extends beyond the Divine Service. When members of Emmanuel are sick or hospitalized, the Word of God is brought to them when they cannot come to it. Several opportunities are available during the week to grow in faith and in God's Word. |
