Life Together

The third aspect of the work of Emmanuel is our Life Together as the body of Christ.  Life Together is derived from the Greek word koinonia, which is often translated as "fellowship."  To have koinonia is to share something in common, and so our Life Together at Emmanuel centers around the common gifts we are given in Christ.

The foundational gift is Holy Baptism, which joins us together in the body of Christ.  Because we are one body, we share in the fellowship of our Lord's Supper, which He has given both for our forgiveness and as an expression of our unity in the Gospel.  All other fellowship in the Church flows from the fellowship that is enjoyed at the altar.

In this section you'll find information about our Life Together, both for visitors and for members of Emmanuel.
